(I have a niece who beat a speeding ticket by asking the officer in court how he was so sure. He explained that he couldn’t have made a mistake because his radar was so simple to use. She asked how much training he had on it, and when he admitted it was, like, days, it was clear it couldn’t be all that fool-proof. The judge allowed as how she had a point and let her go, at least for originality. But I’m sure she was speeding anyway.)
If it weren’t entrapment this would be a great way to catch people using their phones to talk or text while driving. (Er… assuming you could figure out their phone number.)

fight back - speeding tickets can be fought if you have a GPS that says you weren’t going as fast as the officer says…

Ironically, the e-ticket was for using the phone while driving.
