The Simpsons had the synthesized boy band with the siren singing “yvaN eht nioJ,” (Join the Navy). When they turned off the synthesizer, none of the kids could sing. Much like the ‘singers’ they have today.

He’s right. With Autotune anyone can be a singer but you still need great performers to be a star!

As long as the public is fine with image make-overs and Autotune/synthesizers, the music industry will continue to pump out your JB’s, JS’s, KP’s, RiRi’s, and a host of other easy on the eyes artists. Those not so easy on the eyes LG, KW,MM all have outrageous gimmicks to keep the sales going. I guess it is the way of the world.

okay, can anyone think of someone famous for being famous… who isn’t rich. I’ll give you the Kardashians, Trump, Paris Hilton, the Duck Dynasty guys… it’s either money or willingness to go live on an island or race around the world at the speed of the slowest cameraperson assigned to you
