I think hawks would be able to figure it out.

Hawks and too much sun both explain the umbrella, but not the raincoat. I vote for protection against too many birds in the Spring sky, like Rover’s human Red would have wanted today.

Hen and Chicks plants. The site where I found this mentioned that chickens like the plant, too.

Meg takes her job to heart. She’s more like a surrogate mother than a ‘business’ owner.

Thank you, JaneCI for posting the date of Meg’s first appearance. Using the calendar feature I went to the site to see how Meg used to look. The change is so stark that I wonder if someone has replaced Jimmy Johnson.

I know ducklings will follow like this, but chicks? I think chicks are too easily distracted by something to peck at on the ground.

Meg now reminds me of the first Disney characters. I remember the steamboat cartoon I think with Mickey Mouse. (Black and White). Seems to me like Jimmy has gone back in time, or on vacation and someone else is filling in for him! I hope he brings back the original Meg. Please!

That doesn’t look like any Pageboy I ever saw. Pageboy’s are longer and smoother.

Poor little homely girl. I know it happens in real life, but does it have to happen in the comics, too?
