Toby, listen to me. Your dad sick. We're not taking you to mascot practice today. We need you at home. No, don't get a ride with Sheila's dad! Stay home and look after Eddie. No. Don't call Steve's dad for a ride! Just sit tight. They'll understand it practice. Fix yourself some sandwiches, and stay near the phone. Understand? Stay home. Watch your brother. Ok. Love you. Bye. Well, now I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.

Typical teenager…

oh this makes sense. Such every good sense. I have been told by parents of teenaged boys – to not expect much. If Toby had been told to write it down, he would have made the motions and still be standing there with that vacant look.anyone want to bet Toby will call at least one friend to complain about not having a ride and his parents being unreasonable?

I know Eddie is 6, but Toby is how old? And he wants flames tattooed on his neck? Sara needs to call a friend to get over there pronto. That boy is clueless, EVEN for a teenager.

Toby … you’re gonna stay at home, make some sandwiches (or, surprise mom and make KD) … and look after Eddie...Oh wait … who am I kidding? You’re gonna ignore your mother, as usual.
