This is good training fro new parents; you never want to have an open flame that could be tipped over where any baby could.

If you changed the headline to “the people are having important company over” that was our house just last night! Even our normally indifferent to a fault boy decided the ribs being eaten by the guests were his new favorite food. We have bbq’d the same ribs for years.

Elvis and the four stages of flower appreciation: smell them; tip them over; eat them; throw them up. Too funny!

I guess the next time the people want a romantic dinner it’d better be dry toast and tea. Puck is too cute!

Should have given the boys a bit of steak before sitting down-and then locked the door to the dining room! I love romance-too Lupin.

Yes, that’s the only way – lock them out or lock them up. But, then we wouldn’t have the pleasure of seeing this whole scene. Love those cats!

What’s not romantic about having your best friend around during dinner?

We had 3 cats many years ago. Charlie, a B&W wondercat once pulled a slice of roast beef off my plate when I was looking the other way. It landed on the floor. But I managed to rescue the beef & rinse it off. Still tasted good to me 2nd hand, so to speak.

They’re just trying to make sure that you are safe from that nasty little ball of light and make sure that the steak is safe to eat.

“Funny story… The cats dragged your dinner off the table and ate some of it, but don’t worry, I cleaned it up. Have some more!”

Fortunately, our two fur balls are not human food consumers.

In the fourth panel:
Puck’s tail tip is lit up by the candle light.
Georgia Dunn has exquisite talent and skill in the tiniest details of her art! And in my humble opinion; water color is a difficult medium.
