In the days before cellphones.
These days it’s 49 cents.
All them’s the days. A ten cent airmail stamp was a lot of money too. I think about how things have changed and wonder if the next generation will pay $25.00 to $35.00 a gallon for gas and milk.
And to think, when they get married, Emmy Lou will be the one who has to work and clean the house and cook the meals.
The good old days. Penny postcards too, instead of texting or email.
First class postage went up to 4 cents on August 1, 1958.
