Is this a satirical take on “Mallard Fillmore”? That one always seemed like it was drawn for simpletons, folks who also could boil down their opinions to three panels.
Has to be a Mallard Fillmore parody. I remember that the Mallard cartoons sometimes didn’t make any sense to me, unless I pretended to be way over on the right and see everything liberal as bizarre.
The boss should have a bigger nose, and his eyes should be crossed. Iconography is important. Crossed eyes stand in for myopia, and the huge honker is secret code for something or other.
I haven’t read Mallard Fillmore in a while, but when I look at http://www.arcamax.com/thefunnies/mallardfillmore/ (not sure how to make that a link), I see what you mean about the font. It is … angular.
Gotta agree with the comments on this one—Mallard Fillmore is the comic pages equivalent of Fox News as far as accuracy and depth of thought are concerned. Once in a blue moon the guy can actually be funny, but like I said, it is all too infrequent to make it worth reading.

Ha ha! Take THAT, liberals!
It’s not surprising to me that the New York Times doesn’t have James Poult on its comic page – I guess it didn’t “fit” there?

That’s cute. A comic made especially for the non-thinking American community.
