Yellow doesn’t mean slow down. Yellow means stop, if you can do so safely.

Considering their car is colored green, I’d say they can go when the color matches their car.

I agree, she’s too smart to make that remark. Not sure what Cantu and Castellanos were thinking today.

There are two Gracies: the smart one during the week and the dumb Gracie on the weekends. I guess everyone needs some time off.,..

Coloring mistake, maybe? Because this would be a little funnier if their car was blue.

For that I have no idea.

I don’t know if I would say Gracie isn’t showing her intelligence here. Perhaps she’s just “questioning the system”, or having a bit of fun in her thoughts. I know many intelligent people who pose such questions just to contemplate the possibilities. There is joy in playfulness.

The cartoonist doesn’t always have control over the coloring of the strip. I remember Adams commenting once that he did a comic where the night watchman was stealing out of employees desks. He’d intended the watchman to be white, but the colorist decided to make him black and Adams got a lot of negative feedback on that one.

For someone as smart as Gracie is supposed to be, she sure can be stupid.
