Ah, hah, hah, hah, hah!!!!! I think that kitty is related to Cyber the Tiger.

But yes, by all means, call Animal Control. It’s a proven fact that animals act strangely when they are about to commit a crime.

Yes, animals acting strangely in your neighborhood are about to commit armed robbery, or worse, although I think this one is just a cat burgler….

It’s hard to choose one specific Crimestopper’s Textbook and say it’s the daftest one ever, but this one’s certainly in the running.

VistaBill, nice avatar; I can’t get enough of them giant monsters.

Thanks, Flight Suit. I thought you’d like it! Kong’s not as frightening as the cat(?) in Crimestopper’s Textbook, though. That’s one weird creature! I can tell he’s up to no good.

Check out the front legs on that “cat.” It looks like it’s getting ready to lift weights. And that human-like expression on its face: he’s like a bully looking for a twerp to pick on. Yup, typical behavior caused by rabies.

As for the rest of the strip – once again, repeat and recap for the week-to-week readers while those who follow the strip Monday-Saturday are bored to years.

That should have read “bored to TEARS.” But considering the pacing of this comic, maybe “years” is a better word.

I don’t think that’s a cat, I think it’s more likely a were wolverine. Anyway, I have known cats that act strangely most of the time.

I thought Frank Redrum (aka The Blank) was taken in custody??

I think calling the police every time you see animals acting strangely would only serve to distract them from more important business. Bad idea.

hello, 911? yes, I’d like to report my neighbor’s cat is acting suspiciously. and, now that I think about it , my neighbor’s dog has shifty eyes and lurks a lot. I thought nothing of it until I read in Dick Tracy that I’m supposed to notify you of it………………..

    hello?

    hello?

    ’Me an Actor’

Gee ! - Feeling just like a little boy at Christmas with a new TOY, so he prattles on unbelievingly. As he thinks of all the goodies that will follow - he can ‘sleep’ late in the morning - no need to go to that dratted building they call “HDQTRS” - or call animal control that flat chested old cat, Lizz Grove.

No rocks in sight - Tess over by Junior every night … Here, everything is right, and fitting tight, with that young blonde assistant - “Starbright” !

Poor Memory ? Not checking the ‘historical’ facts ?

Or a Writer thinking he has ARTISTIC LICENSE to ‘blatantly’ change what has happened before ? He’s just revealing a lack of “respec”t for what’s gone before, just as he and Kilian did repearely, particularly with the Mumbles records and background..

Most that have read the strip easily recall that the Blank (aka ‘Faceless Redrum’) never ”dissapeared years ago leaving a trail …” of anything. He was unmasked at HQ revealing a badly disfigured face and was “imprisioned” for mulitpe murders of his former gang members.

Try to get these simple things RIGHT Dicky

Though Tracy can’t seem to remember it he forcibly removed the Blanks mask using ether to soften the glue.

Now unless there was a panel we didn’t see back in 1937 in which Redrum yelled “Hay look at that!” causing Tracy and the five other policemen to suddenly turn away while he escaped I don’t think we can buy this he vanished years ago business and incidentally if Tracy thinks this is the real original Blank why hasn’t he just grabbed and arrested him .. there is no statute of limitations on Murder.. not even in Naperville.

Just remember not to ask the suspicious pet about its immigration status .. thats profiling !

The cat in front of Tracy’s house looked like it had been struck by DT’s random shots. The bullets might have revitalized the cat and the result is shown here… a monster has been created! The good news is that it only comes out when there is a full moon!

It might be one of Diane Duane’s interdimensional gate engineers.

“Anyway, I have known cats that act strangely most of the time.”

I think that’s true of most cats, and many a dog (especially Labs and sheep dogs). For them, you have to look out for their acting strangely strangely.

It is like Locher can’t make up his mind on how Tracy views Johnny Nothing–an actor playing the Blank or the Blank himself. Also I don’t know if the disappeared leaving a trail of dead bodies means another jail break (the Blank was captured in 1938) or it is a continuity gaff by Locher

“Disappeared years ago leaving a trail of dea dbodies.”

No, you captured him and it turned out to by a guy named Frank Redrum. who was killing his old gang for deserting him during a prison break, during which his face was eff-ed up and made all “Phantom of the Opera”-y.

This is why I hate that they kicked off M.A.C. back in the ’90s, and now the strip’s being written by… somebody from the mailroom that they’re paying with beer, apparently.
