Squirrel is quite tasty with mushrooms and sherry. No, the sherry goes in the casserole, not the cook.

Yesterday I saw two opossum roadkill entrees. But no squirrel.

I think back to those stunt squirrels that caused a car wreck in an old GEICO spot. BTW, supposedly, there are places in this hallowed land of ours where if you hit something on the side of the road, you are allowed by law to swerve off the road and hit up to two side dishes.

I know a family that eats a lot of road kill deer. They live next to the deer crossing, and when they hear the THUMP, go down and kill it (generally stunned), drain the blood, and skin and butcher it.

If it was me, I would want to be sure it was leaping across the road, not stumbling.

Armadillo were invented so us poor folk could have “opossum on the half shell”

We had a deer take a shortcut across the local NASCAR track during a race. Turn crew made a good barbecue out of that one!
