Every year, I am just amazed how lucky I am – I have the birthday at the same day as my favorite cat!

You should hope you live so long Nermal, but you must be pretty close, I think you’ve been around since the beginning or close to it. So how old are YOU??? We don’t see Nermal enough, or Arlene. Happy birthday Garfield!

My husband and I have a mixed marriage: I was raised to wear every year you have as a badge of honor, and his mother is STILL 29. When we were first married, one of my young nephews asked how old he was, and his answer was “None of your business!”. I had to explain to him that that’s not how my family does it.

It’s been a LONG time since Nermal appeared…maybe last year? Has Nermal become the foil only for Garfield’s birthday?

I’ve noticed over the years, they’ve stopped listing Garfield’s age… possibly because most cats don’t live that long?
