Being originally from California, knowing that we had/have been in one form of drought or another for many, many years, not just now, I always wondered why the state never began investing in water desalination plants? As bas as things are now, you would think they would at least go that way now.

What they’re planning to do is illegal. Taking water from the Great Lakes is controlled under international treaties, local and state laws.
