Man on far left bar stool: Whenever anyone asks why L. A. doesn't have an NFL team, I just say,"It is what it is", and change the subject.

Hey, they can have the Chargers, if they build a stadium for em. I am so sick and tired of having that bunch of losers try to weasel their way into the Convention Center deal. How much do you people make a year? Build your own stadium, stop asking other people to do it for you. That Padres fiasco was sooooo worth it to the city, wasn’t it? sarcasm
The line: “It is what it is” is a common expression used by LA hipster types for a long time & was satirized in a short lived TV series called “It’s Like, You Know” that lasted for 26 episodes.I’m guessing that Wiley may have taken a trip there & heard it, or maybe the real Danae has picked it up & he’s having some fun at her expense.
Life is so much more rewarding when one does not find it necessary to be a self-proclaimed expert on EVERY topic…myself included.Maybe, because they can do it gurus remain gurus. Why is the 4th of July?
Los Angeles fans started leaving earlier and earlier before the end of the game to beat traffic. It got so bad that one week they never showed up at all and just watched the game on TV.
L.A. doesn’t have a team because many of the denizens there don’t care that much about the N.F.L. What’s ironic about the rumblings that the Chargers might move there is that the Chargers started in L.A. as the L.A. Chargers. They later moved to San Diego to play in Balboa Park. Side question, who of you can name the original A.F.L. teams? No cheating and looking it up. Sadly, I can name them in their original names :(
“What they need to do if they want one is to make sure the citizens OWN it. That way they can never leave.”Are you trying to deprive all those poor billionaires of their playthings??? You socialist, you!
When the Seahawks and Mariners said that they couldn’t win games in an old stadium, they went to the voters of Seattle and asked them to build them a new stadium. The voters turned them down.
So they went to Olympia and sat down next the state legislators and signed autographs and gave away ball caps and jerseys. Next thing you know, the entire state is footing the bill for the new stadium including people in Walla Walla, hundreds of miles away.
