Too bad Comic Relief is gone. It was always an enjoyable read.

I once read an essay arguing that MAD was, as much as anything, responsible for the 1960’s. A whole generation of kids learned when they were preteens that the grownups had no idea what they were doing…

Wasn’t MAD once a monthly? (I lost interest when the Comic Book Code forced them from the comic book format to magazine format. I’ll have to pick one up sometime and see what they look like these days.)

MAD was monthly between 1997 and 2009 (when it went quarterly)…from 1958 until 1997, it was 8 times a year (which is an odd schedule - every 6.5 weeks…I assume it was averaged, but I never paid that much attention to actual release dates until after it went monthly…which was after I stopped reading it, even).
