I had a queueing theory class when I was doing computer science in college, and it showed that it is much more efficient to have one line serving multiple tellers than to have one line per teller.

That’s one way they manage to keep the anger coursing through the veins.

I love it when you have a lot of people in the queue and then some clueless person shows up and tries to start another queue for a second window.

Now someone else gets ahead of both of them !

I really like the places that have the zigzag rails that remind me of livestock chutes at a slaughterhouse.

Rat should have been standing in-between the 2 windows to mark that there was one queue. So it is Rat’s fault there was a fight.

entertainment at it’s finest. Maybe I could find our local Anger Management office and pull up a seat.

Why watch TV when we have our own amusement in comic strips?

I’m new to this site and I have to say I laugh harder at the comments than I do the strip! You guys are just TDF!

I’m totally on board with the clerk who has the last line/laugh. You have to make your own fun on the job.

I like the way they open a second window and invite the person behind me over. Every time!

At the DMV, that’s the only way that can work. The line would be out the door and halfway across the parking lot otherwise.

Yup, that was the biggest improvement they made at my state’s DMV until I was able to do 90% of my DMV business online.

…And all this time, I thought this would be a line-up for a bank.

Business must be booming.

Wha’dya know, I finally agree with Rat on something. But seeing him knocked on his can was fun, too!

This, of course, would never happen in Britain. Here in Canada… it really depends.
