And God kept saying “Don’t make me come back there…”
Until He finally smote them all.
Good one SS,but I’m still thinking smut is the best choice.
Should be smoke but it snot.
@PICTO is correct:.Smit, Smat, Smut. What’s smatter than that?
By now, their point is smoot.
What’s wrong with “smoteth” ?
It’s ‘stupid’. Gotta cancel this one, way more FAILS than hahas.
I’m still waiting for someone to say they like smut the best, Picto.
Smite take a while.
This is more like the debates that happened in the first Nicean Council.
“They” did NOT speak American English, nor write it,either. Peace. :) Ha,haa.
I think we have King James’ translators (or mistranslators) to blame for that. It’s amazing how many people think early seventeenth century English is the only appropriate language for the Bible.
The greatest story ever told…
i blame it all on king james
For the record (and I am sure you all know this) smite, smote, smitten.
By this measure it should be bite, bote, bitten. Or better still might, mote, mitten. Talk about your irregular verbs!
Smitten seems to be the only form still in use, for “in love,” & even that’s gone a bit archaic.
I thought I was “smitten” once! Then she slapped me and left…
Remember, smut spelled backwards is Tums….and Eros spelled backwards is sore…
Actually, best would be “provided evidence.” But that’s not the way the religious mind works.
