he could have five aces as long as one card is a wild card.

Way back in the day, when they made movies for TV that played once a week (enough fodder for perhaps as many as eight to ten time slots a week across the three existing networks), there were at least two movies featuring a bunch of old pharts called the Over-the-Hill Gang. In at least one of those flicks the OTHG was trying to bust up a gang of younger punks. One of the tricks was to use a loaded deck of cards, somehow making sure that the punks wound up with all the good cards, causing one old timer to remark, “I’ve seen a lot of aces in my day; but seven aces in one deck? That’s a lot of aces!” Resulted in two of the younger, outsmarted punks shooting each other.

I remember a “Tumbleweeds” comic about poker. Tumbleweeds, Ace, and Snake-eye are sitting around the table. Snake-eye: “Are deuces wild?”Ace: “No.”Snake-eye: “Why not?”Ace: “Because you have two deuces.”Snake-eye: “What? How did you know that?”Ace: “I DEALT, didn’t I?”At this point both Snake-eye and Ace draw their six-shooters and Tumbleweeds meekly suggests, “Pinochle, anyone?”

When is it not ok to deal yourself four aces?-When your opponent has one or more!

I actually had a board game years ago called Chickadee Poker, based on the character comic W. C. Fields created called Cuthbert J Twilly. It had eight aces in the deck and you bet your morals, scruples and principles.
