Being soulless means never having to say you’re sorry.

Take a deep breath in, hold it, and feel motivation. Assertive as apposed to passive and aggressive.

Just try weeping openly and see how many girls you get. It’s absolutely not fair, but there it is. Double standards work both ways.

It’s okay to feel too much, son.Just don’t take it personally. It is only a mechanical universe, full of things. We are only shadows that drift through, attached to bags of meat.

You want feelings? Don’t miss “Inside Out.” We saw it last night, and it’s charming and relevant. I’ve always been in the “feeling nothing is better than hurting” camp, but I realized some time ago that I was cheating myself out of a lot of life’s experiences. It’s still hard -vary hard – but I’ll keep working at it.

Feelings are only a type of awareness.Awareness is the currency of reality.Would no currency be better than too much currency?

“Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from themselves.” (p.97)” ― Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma

If you put a sponge on your head it conducts electricity better. Wait. Isn’t that advice for an electric chair?

But if you can’t touch me, I can’t touch you. Took me a long time to figure that one out, but I’m feeling much better now.
