That’s the way I felt about having to dress up to go to Sunday School when I was a kid. I now go to a neckties optional church. But aren’t they all, nowadays?

Earl, you have to fold down that little metal thing on the back of the tie. Better still, buy one of the new ones that are pre-tied but you adjust them up or down to fit your neck size. My son was the only one in high school who knew how to tie a tie. You should have seen all the athletes gather around him on game day when they had to dress up.

The only times i wore a tie was for my high school graduation & my sister’s wedding. My sister made the tie a requirement at both events.

A tie was part of our school uniform. So I had to wear one.

Girls shouldn’t need to wear ties. It just didn’t look right.

“David, Teresa’s irritated you didn’t wear a suit to your son’s wedding.”.“She’ll get over it or die eventually. My son knows I love him and don’t wear such silliness.”
