There is no such thing as PC. There is treating each other with respect (treating others as you would like to be treated), and many think this is somehow a new and negative thing. They think back to the “good old days” when it was okay to make fun of others or abuse them verbally. And when someone calls them out on it, they call it “PC”.

What’s next, Rita, setting up a torture chamber? Or has she already done that?

Cattle prods are not inhumane. At least they are not training videos.

I don’t care for the term PC myself. I prefer to respect the others have different views and we respect each other. That is all. However I have people on both side of the political/ religious extreme at work that will be offended that I have a view different then theirs. It also seems there are more of the political right and religious right then the left that carry on this way in my experience. So I have learned to say I have my beliefs , I do vote these things are private and prefer not to discuss them with you as they would likely offend you again. So please go away. Have a good day.

You say poTAYto and I say poTAHto … PC is different than polite discourse. E.g. one can’t say people are “retarded,” even if they meet the IQ requirements. Words with meanings that go back hundreds of years are being called mean, vicious, etc. … new euphemisms must be coined to be PC.
