Colt9033 - Concur! Freeholder1 doesn’t get it - again. If you make the kids do hard work, it builds the muscles - and the character - for free AND the work gets done! Also teaches them to apply themselves and take pride in a job well done.
Lewreader - Once again, the voice of reason and practicality! Excellent advice!
Growing up, every Saturday we got to sit and watch cartoons until noon but then it was time to take care of the lawn. We had a push mower and had a corner lot so we had lots to mow. A manual edger, too. By the time I was in high school, I was on the football team, just a year ahead of John Elway.

anybody that has a kid using a push reel mower should be forced to trim the lawn with sewing scissors.

Well if exercise would be good for him anyways. Being indoors and playing with a computer kinda fello tends to make you little weak.

Hit the free weights. They only cost time, energy and lots of money at Dunhams.

You should have seen the cast iron monster we had to mow the lawn with.
If the mower is well taken care of you should be able to mow with one hand.
Any way good exercise for the computer geek.

p.s. Jason could really do with a few more pounds because it’s momentum that rules. But, hows he gonna get that with what Andy cooks?

My folks always said the push mower was the best until all the kids left home and then they decided the rider had improved dramatically.

It seems to me that Jason isn’t tall enough to have the proper leverage with that machine no matter how strong a kid he could be.
