Aye laddie, much as the Pied Piper did, this bonnie lass will rid your residence of all furry vermin, just by playing on her bass… and it’ll be no treble at all.
A somewhat enlarged image can be found at the only work, by this artist, so far, to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog (yesterday). Again, it is a cropped image (no lower right signature). A full, click-to-enlarge image can be found here.Woman with a Double Bass (link shows its Wikipedia page) isn’t shown online by its current-location (since it doesn’t have a website, I pointed to an article about it). The Google translation says it’s closed for renovation; but, this, and other sources, say it’s permanently closed to the public. So, perhaps the only way to see this painting is at an exhibition, such as this 2009 exhibition (see page 20: this, and prior this link confirm current-location).The artist started out as a model. Her Wikipedia page and collection (has paintings by her and of her).First work, by this artist/model, to appear here.
They used paints with Titanium, Lead, Arsenic and who-knows-what for pigments. It’s a wonder more artists didn’t cut their ears off, or paint hallucinogenic visions.
