Instead of all the ink and airtime which is, and will go to tearing down Atticus (journalism’s favorite pastime), concentrating on race relations TODAY might yield some benefits!

Here we have it again, Americans taking a novel as Gospel truth. They are just NOVELS people, they just the imaginations of a person, you don’t have to build an institution around it, you can take it or leave it, but it seems like a lot of people are taking it regardless of what’s written. The Greeks tried that long time ago, where did that took them. We are all in need of objectivity, could that be what these novels are trying to teach us? Any way if you don’t like it don’t read it.

First of all: the original book is unchanged.Second of all: I’m ignoring this one. If Harper Lee had wanted to publish it before, she could have. This is a shocking attempt to get money by taking advantage of a woman who is not in full command of her abilities.Third of all: this was the first draft. She took what she wanted out of it and wrote Mockingbird instead. She changed her mind, folks!

Rule one shown by Grisham as well, don’t release a first novel after successful ones, without serious editing and revision!
