The Born Loser by Art & Chip Sansom Brutus: I just read a fascinating article that I would like to share with you. It will change what you think about Pluto! Brutus: Pluto was discovered eighty-five years ago. It was declared to be the ninth planet in our solar system... Brutus: But then, some scientists decided Pluto wasn't really a planet and we were back to eight planets in our solar system... Brutus: Scientists launched the spacecraft New Horizons in 2006, to learn more about Pluto. After nine years, it finally reached Pluto last month... Brutus: The new, close-up pictures sent from new horizons reinforced the current view that Pluto is a dwarf planet! Brutus: Now, does that change what you've always thought about Pluto? Wilberforce: It sure does...but I only thought of Pluto as Mickey's dog!

So are little people any the less people because they’re little? No. So “dwarf planet” is still a planet, it’s just a little planet, not big enough to clear the neighborhood around its orbit.
