If I'm leaving for Mars and only 12 days, I had better start packing. Hey, that's my shirt. May I take it with me?! It smells like you. Awww, of course you can. Plus it's covered with food stains for emergency rations!
For some reason today I noticed Red’s ‘rolled up’ jeans. Are they always like that? I used to hate doing that when I was a kid but I don’t really know why.
Okay…… one more and I will quit. That last panel about ‘affordable’. Back then the hamburgers were 15 cents, fries and drinks were both 10 cents. Pop could feed all four of us for less than $2.50! Even allowing for inflation that was dirt cheap. Thanks Brian Basset…. you make my day for me almost every day!
Interesting to note, yesterday afternoon I watched an episode of Leave It To Beaver. I couldn’t help but notice “The Beav” was wearing jeans with rolled up legs. It was more a style I think, because the Cleavers were actually upper middle class and I am quite sure June Cleaver could afford to buy the kids better fitting slacks…
since high water jeans are frowned on these days. when I am watering the garden or plants before work, often barefoot, I roll up my pants (jeans or slacks). I have occasionally notice latter at work that they are still rolled up.
They say smell is one of the triggers to lasting memories..Coffee, fried bacon, and ugh Liver and onions.. Friend of mine lost his wife years ago..kept a pillow case with her scent on it…sad face now..
Hubby and I always leave something we’ve worn on the bed when we leave our cat overnight. And usually find one or both garments dragged somewhere else in the house. He likes ti “woolsuck”.

A sentimental yet practical choice, Red…but I still don’t want you to go away!
