    Generally it is the audience that comes in late and disrupts the meeting or program. I was taught to arrive on time, and to start on time. That has gone by the wayside just as RSVP has……

    Years back, when we had family gatherings, my mother’s brother and his wife were traditionally late arriving and dinner had to be held up for them. That stopped the year my mother told them what time dinner would be starting AND that it would start on time whether or not they were there. They arrived too late for “Happy Hour” but just in time for the meal.
