I see in, Teena’s dream, Jeri has grown older but still hasn’t grown up.

At the end of the dream she sees herself sharing an apartment with Hilary Forth and company.

Maybe not everyone would write such a book, but I imagine there are people who may view themselves in a similar light as Jeri.
