Good morning. Cute pics of tubby cats but I feel sorry for them. I know their people think giving them a lot of food means love, but it just makes it hard for kitty to get around and breathe.

Like the fat but smart cat who has the door opening figured out. Now it time for all these cats to go on a diet and get healthy.

A fat cat is unhealthy, just like most humans. They get heart disease, diabetes and, if they lose weight too quickly, they die of fatty liver. A fat cat is SAD to see, but still funny to watch as long as I just see the humorous predicaments they get into as funny to see.

Agree that as amusing as these pics/videos of overly plump cats are, a healthy cat is a trim one.

@Annie….make that super strong ear plugs and gladiator shield too! Chesney needs to be put in isolation ASAP.

Our Poor Dead Spot and Dead Buckwheat LOVED LOVED LOVED watermelon juice! I didn’t give them the meat part but poured the juice in to bowls for them. The like cantaloupe juice, too.

Susan brought her five fosters over this morning. I had my 3 in the playpen so the others could have a little time to get used to their new area alone. They are part of the 9 I had last month. I just took my 3 and added them to the group and so far, all is quiet. I need to make sure it stays that way before we leave to take a mama and her litter up to Kanab.

We got ANOTHER mama and babies in the shelter yesterday. Just when we think it’s under control, we find out otherwise. I have no idea what we are going to do – all of our foster people are full.

I’m gong to ask Susan if she thinks mama would be ok here if they are in the same room with my 3.

I hate seeing a mama and babies in a cage.

IF the babies are tiny, I might be able to put the family in the playpen. When they’re tiny and nursing, mama doesn’t need a lot of room. And it’s certainly bigger than the shelter cage.

Fanny was never fat. She was a big girl, and at the end was a thin girl. >^..^<

My cats Jodie and her daughter Tumble were fat, but her other daughter Ruff and her son Lister weren’t fat, in fact Ruff was skinny. None of them, or my other dozen cats, were over fed or given treats either.

This is one of the fosters I had last month that Susan took back and almost died. I have him and 4 others just until tomorrow afternoon. Has anyone see fur like this? I have not.

No skin condition or nutrition issues. Gets good wet food twice a day and lot of good kitten niblets. His fur is soft like regular kittens. I thought he looks like a wolf.

Fanny was a good cat. I’m sorry I shared my story and her name was made fun of. She was never fat and I miss her greatly. .I know it shouldn’t upset me, but I feel really bad. Like I put her out to be ridiculed. I’ m sorry I’m crying over something so stupid. >^..^<
