Agree…This is an old saying I added a line to years ago. It now makes a little sense in a scary sort of way: “Those that can’t work…teach. Those that can’t teach…teach gym. Those that can’t teach gym…become cops.”
About 40% of those people who major in education, get a teaching job and start teaching wash out before the 5th year. I have taught and I have worked in an office. The major difference is that when you are working in an office you do not have to be paying 100% attention 100% of the time. And, when you leave work, you leave work. Each class requires about 20 minutes of prep time if you are revising lessons you have done before. If it’s a new lesson, an hour an a half is more likely. After getting a total of 6 1/2 years of college and working for 32 years, I was making slightly less than my nephew was two years into a sales job. All of the ideas for improving education add about 20% to the classroom hours, and no additional money seems to be available to get extra people to help with the job. Eventually, they are going to get to the point where no one with the intelligence to do the job is going to be dumb enough to take it.

It doesn’t matter that we’d all sizzle like Jiffy-Pop . . . as long as we keep the aliens out.

Actually, judging by the last 30 years or so, only an idiot can become President.

I’m trying to visualize a LEGAL extra-terrestrial alien, so I can tell the difference.

Just like Law Enforcement – anyone who wants the job, shouldn’t get it.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
I didn’t say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Some cause happiness wherever they go. Others whenever they go.
I am going now…
