Mister Fweem - Dill’s parents obviously know that Dill is 2 slices short of a loaf and needs to wear a helmet at all times. After all his brothers do so many unsafe things and none of them have been injured so they must know something.

Dill wears a helmet because he has the brothers he has AND because he’s friends with Alice. Who needs any other reason?

I can imagine Dill and Alice being a happy, zaney couple.

When Dill’s older he’ll be begging to have Alice ride on his bike, which might actually be a car by then. Then again…with his brothers, he may never get to have a car unless it’s like that ugly little toy.

Dill should have known what would happen. His brothers’ trebuchet operated on the same principle.
