This seems like the reverse of that scene from the new A-Team movie where Howlin’ Mad *don’t call me Roger” Murdoch tries to start a car with a defibrillator.

Now if they connected him to the coil wire it would definitely be enough voltage to defib.

MISNGNOLA Not much different from hot wiring an older car, or so I am told.

Baslim & MisngNOLA - Also, not enough current for the car; WAY too much for the human. It only takes 0.003 Volts to shut off your heart.. And you’d NEVER use DC to try to jump start someone’s heart.

Looks like the cables work best when attached to “love handles”

    MD as in “Macgyver Defibrillator”

Why turn the key? They already have him hooked up directly to the posts… more cartoon physics! lol

Use an inverter, to convert the battery’s DC current into AC current, then an electrical transformer - bring the current down, bring the voltage up. Or maybe a boost converter.

Bert, the coil takes that 12 vdc and converts it to about 12kv, definitely more volts than necessary, lol. But then because it’s discharged as a spark, it’s much like static electricity in that there’s little or no current involved. Doesn’t mean it won’t give you a good shock though.

Edit for afterthought: I guess hooking him up to a plug wire would be better than directly to the coil, but then I knew what I meant.
