rj: hammy has professed a preference for dating shrubbery. verne: This surprises you? RJ: No. it's just that now I won't have anyone to double date with. verne: you're dating? Rj: I'm in more of the early pre planning stages. verne: You haven't asked anyone out yet, have you? RJ: And risk rejection?? no sir-ee-bob! They're asking me out! verne: That explains the waiting line.

I live for the rejection. I’m usually too stunned when a girl says “yes” to know what to say next. “Oh, aaaahhh, yeah, see I was really planning on watching Netflix and downing a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. Besides I’m sort of broke right now. Any chance you could change your mind?”

That image of the velvet ropes. Well said. RJ though would find his smitten groupies packed in tighter than a train station in Hungary if this were in the real world. We are all refugees looking for a leader, no matter how bold-smart aleck and bandit-eyed.
