Scientists are planning a space elevator! Exciting! Using carbon and nano-technology, they'll be able to hoist huge loads up and down from space! Pretty cool. Pretty cool? Dad! Don't you see what an opportunity for my generation this is? It'll probably employ an awful lot of engineers and builders and astronauts I suppose. And musicians. And... What? Musicians dad! There's gonna be huge demand for elevator music that won't drive you into insanity during a three-day elevator ride!

I haven’t heard music in an elevator in a long time…. I think they quit playing it when personal mp3 players became more common than earplugs.
