If they dislike him as an instructor that much, why did they sign up for another semester of his teaching? There must be plenty of other courses they could take, even in the art department. Or does Pitt CC operate on the same budget as Pitt HS does, that allows them to hire only one teacher who teaches all the classes (but somehow always gets the very same students)?

OK, now I got that out of the way……I hope Luann come up with the winning design, with a picture of Puddles. Wish I could adopt right now, but it would not be fair to the dog, what with me still working full-time and no one at home. Would love another black lab.

I’ll share a story about an employee we had at a local animal shelter several years ago. She was very, umm, proud of what nature had given her, and intent on getting connected with the high-fashion and soft-porn industry. She got the idea to run a series of billboards around Los Angeles with herself and other scantily-clad babes posing with cats and dogs covering the naughty bits, and with cute-suggestive sayings like “find a new friend to warm the lonely nights” and so forth. It promoted awareness of the hot babes, I don’t recall any noticeable uptick in adoptions from that time-frame.

She didn’t work there more than a few months.

Oh, the comic strip? Well, Luann could probably stand to spend some time paying attention to her own priorities just now. Doesn’t mean she and Quill are over, just that if he needs to focus on himself right now, she could do the same. That could well be a healthy (excuse me, “healthful”) response to what Quill is up to. Certainly more worthwhile than sitting around stewing in her own resentments.

i never once in college had the same teacher for more than one class! Cept for graduate studies, and im pretty sure Luann is not there yet.

Actually, Puddles has long been depicted as having a “mysterious” origin (“mixed”, unknown breeds). It could be possible that Luann somehow depicts (in some concise way) how Puddles came to be with the DeGroots… –

Anyway, if Mr. Jock and Mr. Goth are going to be the only classmates Luann ever meets at junior college, maybe they should be given proper names this semester.

Mange is quite treatable, and we find homes for three-legged dogs regularly. There’s a gorgeous three-legged coonhound in the Lufkin, TX, shelter right now. She lost a leg in a trap.

Luann doesn’t go to Moony U. She goes to the local junior college, which is known here as Pitts Community College but hasn’t officially been identified by name in the strip.

Is Luann a leftie? I didn’t know.

I Heard the “Dead Lion” Entry is a Shoo-In “FOR” the Win…..,

Not at the community college I went to. There, they have numerous teachers teaching the courses because of the high volume of students attending.

Will we see any other class that Luann is taking this year? Last year we got to see her answer the role in some other course (“Our Digital World”, maybe?), but after that we never returned to the classroom. Insofar as we know, there are 3 “real” students at Pitt CC, and a bunch of shadows.

It’s been how many years now, and I just noticed Luann is a southpaw. My wife would be pleased, but she’s probably already noticed.

9So, today is PSA day (Public Service Announcement Day) at Luann. Well, Pet Adoption is a worthy goal, so it is nice to see. I am glad to see Luann back at school and am really looking forward to this week’s story!!!! I also really like Zebo, “Emo” and Jacque “Jock”.It will be interesting to see what Zebo does with the art this time, as well.

I am really glad to see Luann occupying her mind with something other than Quill and being excited and immersed in that. I’m guessing this the 2nd in a sequence of courses on basic art and design.

I, unfortunately, forgot and missed seeing totality. Still super!

Ugh. Only those two ugly kids in the one class she ever attends in college?

This is going to be an EXCITING storyline…not.

Don’t screw around with Puddles. I never read books or see movies about dogs because some sentimental fool always manages to have them die. I subscribe to the Snoopy way of life…………….that pup will out live me. And what’s going on with the story lines? They are all over the place.

I forgot they adopted Puddles from a pound.

Are you referring to all the commenters who were certain the brownies were laced, or are you referring to the commenters who said, “SURELY Toni won’t suggest they get married on 9/11! Nobody in their right mind would do anything in such bad taste!”?

For those of you who do not recall the arc, Bernice meets Derek today in “Luann Againn.” He was her first flame.

That was in 1987. This is where he identifies himself.

The art in 1987 was IMO a bit sketchy, but the plot lines had more real drama. And the story kept going. .This plot lasted quite a long time, with various ups and downs. .If you are worn-out by the warehouse, or zany from Zebo, this make restore your confidence in our author. .I recommend you follow it.

In just these 2 strips, Derek has become a better-defined character than Quill has become in all these years,

I actually wouldn’t object to keeping the strip in vague time for a few years of college. There are a lot of potential stories for Luann and her friends in their college years, if the Evanses decide to go that route. So I’m not expecting or demanding that Luann get her bachelor’s degree in June of 2018.-But I would like to see Luann and other cast members meet new friends in college. Other than Dez, we haven’t seen much of that so far. Just hanging out with the same people that they have known going back to junior high or earlier doesn’t add that much to the college years of the characters.

It’s just a clever design to get free work done because the teacher is lazy.
