One: Great to see some humor in this strip (for a change)..Two: In spite of what Wally and Holly have been through together, why shouldn’t Holly have a little competition right now?.Come to think of it, I don’t think Wally and Holly are married. And the lack of offspring in this strip casts doubts upon whether these mutant anthros can mate in the first place..Just thoughts…
Cheepskate0,No, Wally and Holly aren’t married but they have been living together for over a year and they have gone through a lot together so most of the long time readers are used to thinking of them as a solid couple. Not to say that that couldn’t be changed or tested. Stories thrive on conflict afterall.Um…what lack of offspring? As dreary as it was, the last storyline showed more offspring than I have seen in Endtown. There was a nursery filled with newly hatched reptilians (and as hateful as the reptilians usually are I thought the infants were adorable) and in a family scene we have seen the fearless leader’s and Helena’s children. Chic is one of those offspring. As far as nonreptilian mutant children go, we’ve seen a lot of them in Endtown and I’d wager that many of them were young enough to be born after the great mutation. So I think it goes without saying that anthros can have children.
But tall people are smarter. There’s an intelligence test. You put text to read on one side of a high wall and ask people to read it. Tall people can, short people can’t, indicating that tall people are smart and short people are dumb. The test produces consistent results, too.

The lizards had offspring – occasionally they did not turn out like their parents – chick is one of those.

Is she blushing because Wally told her it’s okay for her to offer him a “lift”?

If you think I think they think she thinks he thinks she thinks he thinks he’s too short, you’ve got another think coming. I think.

Would we be taking about cross-species fertilization here? Or are the anthro’s still basically human under the animal outers?

There’s got to be a word for people that fall in love with the person that saves them from certain death.
