It's weird. Our teachers actually learn things about us in class! And not just whether we're stupid or smart. They can tell from our work if we're organized, maladjusted, optimistic, troubled, thoughtful, frightened, sleepy, or just cruising on autopilot. It's just like we can tell about who they really are, too. Wait. What?

High school. Just about the time you begin to realize that your teachers are actually people too. All my best primary school teachers were those who showed their students a little bit of their personality.
