To be honest, I don’t think Moggy could catch a sparrow to begin with! :-D
A messy bed has more curves and nest-y spots than a flat bed. The only flat surfaces a cat will select are freshly pressed white skirts, and knitted sweaters which can be nicely snagged by kneading.
