THis is so funny, usually kids are fighting to get OUT of those carts but Alice and Dill are fighting to get IN! Go Dill, Go Alice, show ‘em how it’s done! :)

Either is acceptable, I would think. A goatherd herds a herd of goats, a shepherd herds a herd of sheep. In neither case do you need to say “goat herder” or “sheep herder.”

(However, a potsherd does not herd a herd of pots.)

fritzoid, My bad. I became so inured to righteous rants, I apparently missed the gag.

How great to get to be in a significant parade and not have to walk the whole route- fun for the kids and photo ops for their parents (even though grocery carts are not all that…)

The “yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek” is cute until you actually hear it, usually in a high C pitch. My kids can do it far too well.
