My father has a subscription to the BYU alumni magazine. I submitted my mother’s name to the memorial section (she graduated in 1975 and died the autumn of 2004) which was published in the summer 2005 edition which I still have.
ny high school graduating class of 1958 has lost only 163 outof 897of us, which seems pretty good odds, I still cringe when I see the name of somebody I knew well, though. The early ones were in Vietnam.
That’s eggsackly what I’ve been saying for the last decade or so. My 1957 class news (MIT) is mostly a string of obits these days. But there are still a hardy bunch of us who show up at reunions every five years.
I read the local obituaries to see how many of the deceased are younger than me. When I meet a peer, we often talk about medications and medical conditions. It’s almost time to take the long bridge to nowhere…

I graduated in 1976, and we already lost 10 classmates out of 160. So sad
