Got a new laptop today. Looks like I’m going to have to learn Windows 10 now. I’ve set it up, added some favorites and now it’s 1:00 AM and time for bed.

I got a lead on a F-150 van with a lift.It has less than 60k miles and the person is only asking $5k for it.I must see the lift first. Braun lift in it. If its the strap lift, i can’t use it. If its the hydraulic lift i might go for it.I don’t want the big gas guzzling V8, but i could still use it, keep running my campaign, and use it as a trade in on something more appropriate later!

Like you Gweedo I don’t do the Face Book -I have a real life and real friends.

Last time i updated a Windows product it made my cheap laptop unusable. Thats when i switched to an apple product.

Its a lot more expensive, but i have never had it lock up.Ever.

How timely! I just went back to Windows 8.1 last night. Got tired of waiting for Windows to fix all the Win10 shortcomings.

Daughter keeps bugging me to go on Facebook, She has reunited with all the people she went to High School with.Do I want to do that? Not so much. I’m friends with 5 people via email and phone. They live all over the country so we can only visit online, And occasionally in person (Barb!) That’s enough for me! Everybody else is right here.I can’t imagine having to check Facebook every 2 minutes like my kids do. Sheesh.Besides, my husband is on and tells me anything I need to know, LOL

I upgraded as soon as it was available, so about four months?I have a Windows 7 laptop too, but I’m really happiest with my old, unsupported XP box in the basement!

Macs were favored at work. I tried to get used to them but what they thought was “intuitive” was totally alien to me. Fortunately our IT guru accepted that the world was made up of Apple folks and Microsoft folks and didn’t try to proselytize.

On the subject on Win.10 I just bought a new laptop this week and deliberately chose one with Win 8.1 I will not upgrade my other laptop either. Win 10 is too intrusive. I dont want auto updates nor do I care to be spied on. Of course the other operating systems spy as well but not to this degree.As for facebook ….. :P

The van was a bust. Unfortunately.It had a lightweight lift on it, not meant for power chairs.It’s only rated for 500 lbs.No way I’m putting a client in a power chair on that.

And i have to wait on the booth at the antique mall.The one that was open last week has been rented out.I was told that i should have one by the end of the month.

Guess that makes him a seersucker? : P

To everyone commenting on Win10—-new computers come with Win10, and have all requisite drivers and updated programs to go with it.My laptop is < a year old, but I ordered Win7Home. I’m sure there’s a driver conflict…but I hate Win 8, so I wasn’t willing to get that with my laptop. I settled for the well known, well behaved Win7.

The only problem with “wonky” drivers is the LONG wait for your device’s manufacturer to upgrade the driver. Sometimes your device is an orphan…the company no longer supports it. No support = no updated driver = buy new device. :( = $$$$$According to my chart (which is just about true in my experience, Win 10 = Good .)

Lily really got it right this time!! Too funny. I love Apple. Everything else is foreign to me.
