The day is finally here! They are coming to put in the wood floors tomorrow. All the furniture is stacked and piled and pushed out of the way. I spent all week sanding the built-ins in the Family Room and we’ll paint this weekend. We wanted to do it before the floors but that didn’t happen. Fingers crossed I don’t knock over the paint can.

It’s PetCo day. We have some kitties that will need special people to adopt them. An older woman got sick several months ago and turned in 4 cats. All got adopted. Now she’s in hospice and her sister brought in the last 3 or 4. They have been mostly outside cats and are not really people friendly. I don’t know why the sister can’t take them. She didn’t say.

Oh well, if Grumpy Cat says it’s the best day ever, it can’t be too bad. Right? Super windy here today. We have a hay field behind us and all the faux tumble weeds are blowing all over the neighborhood.

Today is the last odd day of this century. You know, where the month, day and year are all odd numbers and are in a row. 11/13/15 Won’t work for the countries that put the month second. Anyway, there won’t be another one until January 3, 2105. I don’t think I will be around then, so……everyone, enjoy today being an ODD DAY. As if most of mine aren’t anyway.

LROS: Tardar Sauce said that Friday the 13th is the Best Day Ever. Uh, uh. My pooch still has ‘issues’ and Mark ‘stepped in’ one just before he left for work. The cussin’ was loud and funny as heck. BTW…HIS birthday is a 13th.

D&KPoor Mark, hopefully the rest of the day is in’t as “poopy” as it started!

GweedoDale and I are the original DIY’ers so we have dropcloths. Both plastic and cotton. I’ll just stay away from the ladder, thank you. LOLI love to paint cabinets, just not raw wood ones. We built an island into daughter and SIL’s kitchen using unfinished ones from Home Depot. I sanded, primed, painted, sanded,, painted, sanded, painted , sanded and painted again. Only then were they smooth. Looked great, took me a week!

Had 2 black kittens adopted this morning. Susan is still there with the orange brother and the 2 adults, mother and son, that the sister turned in. The other sister died yesterday. These are big white and black cats – very sweet. Smudge, the son, just loved having me pet and scratch him all morning.

Friday the 13’th has always seemed lucky. Our first son was born on Friday the 13’th.

Actually, I think that makes graduating even more special and you’ll never forget the date. It amazes me how superstitious some people are. We have a friend who will turn his vehicle around and go a different way if a black cat runs across the road in front of him.

The odd numbers aren’t in sequence, i.e.: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7….
