take all the food off the table and replace it with PB&J, see how long it takes them to notice. No phones are allowed at my table………..ever. If my grand children bring out their phones their parents make them leave the table so it is choice, talk or text or eat……..guess which one wins out.
I recall dad would wheel in a 19" portable B-W tv on a cart and position it in the kitchen so we could all watch Walter Cronkite or Huntley-Brinkley and the Vietnam War while we ate dinner.

I thought she had dealt with the phones at the table already. It is so rude to keep your nose stuck in a phone when you are with other people.
