Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for December 08, 2015

Transcript:
Pastis: Make me feel better, Pig. My ex-wife is dating one clown after another.
Pig: Aw, Steph. That's probably not a nice thing to say.
Ex-Wife: Thank you, Ronald... I had a wonderful night.
Pastis: She's a sucker for a happy meal.
Poor little Cartoon-Boy, bereft of home, while Staci chases around with the lowest riff-raff of all, commercial clowns!Yeah, Cartoon-Steph needs a hug. And maybe his own Happy Meal, too….
Not a joke. A coworker one day was very, very upset and he confided in me. His wife had left him for a clown. This guy was literally a clown working for Dr. Patch Adams. I think I burst my spleen trying to suppress laughter as he told me this story.
pastis now we know why you are on the porch and in a basket – all you had to do was buy a lousy happy meal for the missus once in a while and you couldn’t even do that. talk about a basket case!!!!!!!! and it would seem that the clown won’t have ANY trouble filling your shoes either. wow it looks like clown therapy is right next to you.
Well, given that his IRL wife doesn’t read the strip and was surprised when people started assuming that they were having marital problems because cartoon boy was kicked out by cartoon wife, I doubt that she is bothered by it at all.

One of my favorite things about this strip is that Stephan lives in a basket on his estranged wife’s porch. That is just so funny!
