For the most part “Bob’s your uncle” is used to indicate that a task is easier than expected to complete. The example used in Wiki was “left over right; right over left, and Bob’s your uncle – a reef knot”. So Dean’s use of the phrase as a stand-alone is incorrect, but probably typical of someone who is unfamiliar with the proper usage.
