The common hippopotamus is semiaquatic, inhabiting rivers, lakes and mangrove swamps… During the day, they remain cool by staying in the water or mud;… of the Water Way Web.
I use Facebook to keep in touch with some very dear friends who live in a number of other states. Also, my wife and I have a history group we call “Time Traveling to the Past”; it is a nice group for those who enjoy history.
For me, Facebook is an ugly necessity because everyone I know uses it religiously. So I have to check in if I want to know what they are up to. No one emails anymore. Now, I have nothing against Facebook, but personally I dislike having hours of my day sucked away staring at it when I could be doing more enjoyable or important things.
I still can’t totally knock Facebook. It brought my wife and me together. We hadn’t seen each other in years- and in the past we never connected closely- just kind of ‘noticed’ each other. Then I sent a friend request to see if she remembered me. Five years later, here we are.

Facebook shows you took some effort to stay in communications without actually having to make personal contact.

Start a Facebook competitor and call it “GossipJunkies.” No doubt why you go there.
