I have one pup who’ll take her meds just like Kenny, and another one who can eat around anything and spit out the pill. We have to resort to the “let me pry your jaws open and stick this pill down the back of your throat” method. Good times.
I roll up 2 balls of cheese, give the one with the pill to her and she inhales it because she wants the second one. having 2 dogs also helps because the victim doesn’t want the other dog to get “her” treat.
My long departed shepherd/husky needed pills to alleviate his hip pain. At first it was hard to get him to take them. After 3 or 4 pills he got the connection and opened wide and GULP! 30 minutes latter he would be bouncing around like a puppy. I think the pills got him a little high…

I trick my dog into thinking it’s something she SHOULDN’T have. I lay it on the counter and turn my back. When I turn around again, the pill is gone.
