Possibilities surround us if we just open our eyes.

Of course, it’s fun to seek boogie men and see every problem as a game~stopper, too.

Trip is the type to transition into a tout for transcendental tourism.

I can just see him running one of those “Find Your Inner Self and Make Millions in Real Estate” seminars.

Thank goodness the current Republicans don’t have a slick con artist like Reagan to charm the unsophisticated while he picks their pockets. T. Rump is the perfect candidate for them; what you see is what you get and let’s have a referendum on whether America is to have a President who suffers from narcissistic personality disorder and represents all that is hideous and regressive in this country, or not. In the meantime Sal, I hope you don’t have the bottom of a bunk bed with young Mr. Tripler: something may trickle down on you.

Young republicans are delusional if they think they couldpossibly ever have more than a few crumbs from the pie.

What exactly did “flamer” mean in 1985? I was under the impression that it meant pretty much what it means now, but that doesn’t fit the dialogue.

Thanks to Doonesbury, I was completely clueless as to what “flaming” meant for too many years. I must have unknowingly embarrassed myself scores of times.

I loved RWR, all but the quadrupling the national debt part . . . And maybe the IranContra part. But other than that ~

Just out of curiosity, how many of the world’s richest were in the top tier back then?

By “progs” are you saying: “progressives?” Is that by definition a negative? Isn’t the opposite of that “regressive or backward?” That’s what one thesaurus had as antonyms for progressive. Who are the “us” you allude to? And what do you know about me? I wouldn’t describe myself as liberal or conservative, but rather a pragmatist? Is that a bad thing among the “us” that you’re part of? Please explain. I don’t think that the ever increasing divide in wealth that’s occurred since Reagan and his “supply side (voodoo-per George Bush) economics” is in practical terms a good thing for this country, do you?
