It would appear dorks and jocks have more in common than they have differences. In either case it is a matter of good vs. evil. Star Trek / Yankees = good, the opposing side / team = evil. One of the few differences is the avenue in which the battle for good vs evil takes place, Sci fi or sports.
One final similarity, one side shoots diamonds, the other side plays on them.
