Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for December 14, 2015
Transcript:
Arlo: You haven't sent this many cards in years! Janis: I told you... Janis: I want to make this year a more traditional Christmas! Arlo: You mean, you take on a lot of extra work and worry, Arlo: And wind up exhausted and grouchy? Janis: Traditional, yes.

One year I sent out my Christmas cards on November 5th. I’m always late…..Guess I over compensated a bit…….

Hey, I just had an idea….Next year I’m going to send some of those cheap little Valentines Day cards instead of Christmas cards….Of course, I will write Merry Christmas on them…Steal the Idea if you want…….

I refuse to send Christmas cards any more. If all you do is sign your name, I don’t want one from you. What’s the point? I have always written a short note on the cards I sent, but received only cards with signatures on them. Sometimes the “signatures” were pre-printed. I give up! I’s rather spend some time on the phone with the people, or visit them in person.

how about those photocopied letters that tell you what a wonderful year their family has just had? The ones my Irish aunt used to call a sh## letter.
