Merala living for centuries without a date on a Saturday night…..and poor Betty has sweated so much, she’s turned black like an old prune! :)> What’sAPoorGirlToDoAGowa!!
Wow! A fate worse than…Um…everlasting life?I thought the way it worked was that Betty had to be sacrificed to death in the flame, so Merala could continue to live longer.I guess I was wrong.
Merala probably enjoyed eternal life for the first century or so, but didn’t have the initiative to go out and learn new things, so it’s been constant boredom ever since.
Going back to August 20, 2015—Merala tells Tarzan that the fire needs a sacrifice at certain times. At that time, I understood it that Betty was intended to be the next sacrifice, & not how the story is stated now.

Living young forever hmm. Just think what your 401k would be worth after about 200 years?

M’Lunga could of used a tiny shot of that flame. Why don’t the whole town take in the magic fire?

this is based not any Edgar Rice Burroughs book, but on “She” by H. Rider Haggard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._Rider_Haggard

Why isn’t Tarzan charging in anyway? If he doesn’t charge, the exact same fate will be bestowed upon Betty as if he did charge.

Actually, the strip was too brutal today.
